Teen Programs at Camp Piomingo
YMCA Camp Piomingo provides teens with programs such as Counselors in Training (CIT) and BOLD & GOLD. Our programs help teens build leadership skills, improve communication and decision making, identify their goals, and contribute to the positive experience at camp.
Counselors in Training
The Counselor-In-Training program (CIT) is for 16 and 17-year-old campers who wish to eventually become a camp counselor at YMCA Camp Piomingo. A CIT spends three weeks at camp developing leadership skills and gaining experience as a camp leader. Through the CIT program, your teen will identify and achieve goals, improve communication and decision-making skills, and contribute to the overall improvement of camp. Applications for this program can be found in the registration link. Enrollment will be awarded after an interview with camp staff.
Leaders-In-Training
The Leaders-In-Training Program (LIT) is the first part of the Leadership Development Program at YMCA Camp Piomingo. Through this 2-week program, the LITs will learn and develop leadership, communication, and life skills—all while connecting with their peers and participating in camp activities. This program is open to 15 and 16-year-olds.
