Summer Overnight Camp
Overnight campers ages six to 17 enjoy one-, two- or three-week-long overnight sessions from Sunday until Saturday during June, July and August. Campers stay in cabins with top-notch counselors and enjoy all the fun activities YMCA Camp Piomingo has to offer, including the pool, ropes course and other traditional camp activities.

Our Traditional Youth and Teen programs are one-week programs for ages 6-16. Campers will stay in a cabin with trained counselors and participate in camp activities such as archery, rock climbing, arts and crafts, and much more! There is also one two-week Traditional Camp session available.

Our Traditional Mini Camp is a 3-day, 2-night experience for campers aged 5-12 that want to get a taste of what YMCA Camp Piomingo has to offer.

Equestrian Camp
Equestrian Camp
Join us at our Equestrian Camp for a week of equine education, riding adventures, and hands-on experiences in the world of horses. Suited towards riders with little to no experience in the equine industry are given an opportunity to grow as a rider and in the barn. Come open the doors to what horses have to offer. Riders will spend the morning in the barn, and will participate in camp/cabin activities in the afternoon.

Our Intermediate Equestrian Camp (ages 10 -16) is a two-week intensive program of riding lessons, trail rides, equine first aid, and advanced equine education. This camp is tailored to campers with previous horse experience; comfortably and safely tack up and walk and trot on a horse.
Equestrian 2 is an immersive experience - these campers will spend more time in the barn than in traditional camp, and stay in a cabin with those in the same program (age dependent).
Equestrian Counselors-In-Training (EQ CIT)
Equestrian Counselors-In-Training (EQ CIT)
The Equestrian Counselor-in-Training program (EQ CIT) is for 16-17 year old campers who wish to eventually become a Barn Counselor at YMCA Camp Piomingo. An EQ CIT spends two weeks at camp developing leadership skills and gaining experience as a camp leader and barn facilitator. EQ CITs may not ride daily, but rather assist younger campers with lessons and horse care.

Session 1: June 22–27: Cliff Climbers
See breathtaking views from soaring heights when you join us for rock climbing at Red River Gorge. Adventurers will spend four days at the Natural Bridge State Park camping and exploring lakes and caves in the region. After a relaxing night of camping, enjoy a full day of climbing with some of the best guides in the area followed by a campfire with smores.
Session 2: July 27–August 1 Kayak Campers
Looking for one last adventure before heading back to school? Join BOLD & GOLD on an overnight kayaking trip on the New River in West Virginia. Spend the day kayaking, swimming, and rock jumping before camping on the riverbank for the night. Wake up the next morning to kayak to the take-out point and finish the day with relaxing bonfire.
Leaders-In-Training (LIT)
Leaders-In-Training (LIT)
The Leaders-In-Training Program (LIT) is the first part of the Leadership Development Program at YMCA Camp Piomingo. Through this 2-week program, the LITs will learn and develop leadership, communication, and life skills—all while connecting with their peers and participating in camp activities. This program is open to 15 and 16-year-olds.

The Counselor-In-Training program (CIT) is for 16 and 17-year-old campers who wish to eventually become a camp counselor at YMCA Camp Piomingo. A CIT spends three weeks at camp developing leadership skills and gaining experience as a camp leader. Through the CIT program, your teen will identify and achieve goals, improve communication and decision-making skills, and contribute to the overall improvement of camp.
