Youth Soccer

Soccer Intro

At the Y, we offer spring and fall outdoor soccer leagues for boys and girls ages 3-14 at locations across the Greater Louisville and southern Indiana area. We work on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and character building in a fun, safe environment that allows all players to grow in self-confidence and thrive.

We also offer adaptive soccer leagues in the spring and fall that are specifically designed so that youth with special needs can experience building skills, confidence and friendships through sports.

Indoor soccer leagues are offered in the summer, fall, and winter at the Oldham County Family YMCA Indoor Arena.

At a Glance

YMCA youth soccer is about much more than winning. Players experience camaraderie, gain essential life skills, build confidence and learn teamwork as they grow.

The field size, ball size and number of players on the field are age appropriate. Teams are coached by YMCA volunteer coaches. Registration includes a jersey and socks. Shin guards are required for all age groups and cleats are recommended for ages 9 and up.

Teams practice once a week on weeknights for an hour. Most games are played on Saturdays, but there may be a few weeknight games to accommodate holidays, school breaks, and make up games. Players are assigned to teams based on practice availability, requests, skill level and age in order to best balance teams
